Discord Snowsgiving 2022 Has Officially Begun!
Discord run an event every Christmas called "Snowsgiving" with limited-edition merch and other cool prizes. Here's what's new this year.

Discord released Snowsgiving 2022, which is a winter event for Christmas. In this year's Snowsgiving, Discord released a new bot and little button to donate nitro for your friends.
What Is Snowsgiving 2022?
Snowsgiving is a Discord event where they celebrate Christmas in their way. There are a lot of different events and quests that you can do to claim cool rewards such as custom emotes and much more. Each day, they are releasing gifts that you can claim. You can check a list of those gifts from discord.com/snowsgiving.
They did the same event in 2021 and they put Wumpus into space. But this is not the only thing that they did last time. They gave special emoji packs, limited-edition merch, a bot where you can do games, and a snowy background for the video calls.
2022 Snowsgiving Event Details
The main Snowsgiving event this year run from Monday, December 5, 2022 (10 am PST) to Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
The Christmas theme on top of Discord is going to run from Monday, December 5, 2022 (10 am PST) to Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Profile Decorations
Perhaps the biggest update for this year's celebrations is the access to profile decorations for the holidays.
Beautiful animated and static profile picture decorations have been enabled for Discord Nitro subscribers. Some of these profile decorations go beyond the typical profile boundary and extend the area of it to make these frames more dynamic.
The access to this special feature will discontinue from January 6st, 2023. However there is a rumour that this feature will make its way back to us later with a more finished look and permanently. There is no question about it being exclusive to Nitro subscribers.
Crisis Text Line Donations
Discord usually like to support a charity during Snowsgiving, and this year is no different. For 2022, it's the turn of Crisis Text Line to receive the profits from Snowsgiving.
Crisis Text Line is a not-for-profit organization that provides free, 24/7, high-quality text-based mental health support and crisis intervention in English and in Spanish. Since its launch in 2013, Crisis Text Line has trained over 55,000 volunteers and engaged in more than 7.5 million crisis conversations.
You can even make a donation directly through Discord! If you head towards your DMs, you can find the all-new Snowsgiving tab.
Once you click on this tab, you will be greeted with this page, with the Donate button allowing you to directly help out the charity this festive season.
Snowsgiving Merch 2022
Discord released a new collection of exclusive Snowsgiving merch that you can buy from Monday, December 5, 2022 (10 am PST) to Saturday, December 31, 2022 (11:59 pm PST) to help raise funds for Crisis Text Line.
According to Discord, they are giving a 100% of the profits from all the merchandise during the entire event to this charity.

Snowsgiving Bot?
Discord released a Snowsgiving bot so that you can celebrate the holiday season with you on your server by completing all the Snowsgiving Quests provided by Discord's new Snowsgiving Bot while collecting some delightful rewards along the way.
But the problem with the bot is,
Discord reported some technical issues with the bot and they decided to take the bot down for the entire event.
Snowsgiving Soundpack 2022
If you go to your Discord settings > App Settings > Notifications > Sounds you can select the Snowsgiving 2022 sound pack.
Discord released this sound pack on December 8, 2022. This sound pack is optional and will be available until January 3, 2022.

Discord Townhall Server
The Discord Townhall Server is getting a Snowsgiving makeover for Christmas! You can join the official Townhall Server from here. During the Snowsgiving event in 2022, various fun, festive events, and giveaways will be held on the server that you can participate in, and even a contest to win!
