Have you ever wished for a comprehensive breakdown of exactly what you get up to on Discord? Do you ever wonder how many messages you've sent, and the amount of channels you've talked in? Well never fear! Today, I'm going to be showing you how to unlock your secret stats for your Discord account!
You Will Need:
- A data package analyser, such as Androx2091's Discord Data Package Explorer or DiscordRecap.com.
- Your Discord Data Package - yes, yes I hear your cries of "what the hell is my Data Package?!": keep reading, I'll explain.
- A few days spare to wait - Discord likes to take their time
Getting your Data Package
You'll be pleased to know that getting your data package is as easy as pie! All you have to do is follow these steps:
- Open Discord
- Navigate to User Settings
- Select the Privacy and Safety tab
- Scroll to the bottom until you find Request All of my Data
- Click the Request Data button at the bottom
After pressing the button, you will receive the pop-up notification pictured below. Discord claim that producing your data bundle can take up to 30 days, but in my experiences, it really only takes 1-2 days. For example, I submitted my request on Sunday evening at time of writing, and I received my email on Tuesday evening.
Discord will then gather up your personal data, wrap it up in a nice little .zip file archive bundle and send it straight to the email address linked to your Discord account!
It's worth noting that after requesting, there is a cooldown of 1 month before you can request your data again.

Receiving your Data Package
A couple of days after I submitted my data package request, I received this email from Discord.
All you have to do now is hit the "You can download it here" button attached to the email to download the .zip folder archive. You don't need to unzip it or anything, in fact don't; it's easier later on to leave it as a .zip! Just make sure to save it somewhere easily accessible, such as Downloads.
Once it's saved, you can make your choice of which website to use to reap in all the lovely data!
Discord Data Package Explorer
Discord Data Package Explorer (DDPE) is a tool that is used to show the more social aspects of how you use your account.
To use DDPE, simply drag the .zip folder archive from Discord's email into the site, it will analyse it and present you the information in a nice clean user interface!
Once you drag in your JSON file, it should look something like this!
DiscordRecap.com
DiscordRecap is an alternative to DDPE that performs similar functions. Once you navigate to the site, you should be greeted by this page:
After clicking Get your data package analysed, simply select the .zip archive you downloaded from Discord's email and bask in the glory of knowing exactly how you use Discord and what you've been up to.
Personally, I find Discord Recap more detailed, so if you want to look into your stats in plenty of detail, this is the site to use! Make sure to click through all the different sections to get the most out of this amazing resource!
